Dupe Or No Dupe? Punk Purple vs. Wrapped Around My Finger

* * * Make sure to check out my birthday giveaway here * * *

Another "Dupe Or No Dupe?"! :) I bought this Catrice polish at work last week and it actually never really stood out for me. I guess because the color is pinkish and I thought this was another polish I already had. Last week I was in the need to buy a polish at work again and since I own most Catrice polishes I just picked this one :P

E.L.F. - Punk Purple and Catrice - Wrapped Around My Finger

On the picture these 2 don't really look the same, but in real life they do. The colors aren't really color accurate either, but I bet you can find swatches online. I've used Punk Purple in my Punk Princess Nails post before.

You can see the difference between them. Punk Purple is a bit more purple and Wrapped Around My Finger is more pink. That's what you'll see in real life as well. If you own one of these you don't need the other polish, because nobody would notice it's another polish.

Thanks for reading! :)

Dupe Or No Dupe? High Hopes vs. Think Pink

* * * Make sure to check out my birthday giveaway here * * *

Whenever I get a new polish my mom is always like; "I thought you had something like that already..." I'm always in denial, but I know it's kinda true sometimes... :P That's why I came up with 'Dupe Or No Dupe?'

On the left we have China Glaze's High Hopes and on the right we have Essence's Think Pink. I find these colors pretty orange by the way.

These polishes look pretty much the same in real life. You really can't tell the difference. In this picture you can tell one color is a little bit darker than the other.

If I had to pick one I would go for Think Pink. The Essence polish was really nice to apply while the China Glaze one kept doing it's own thing. It was really annoying. Also, High Hopes was a bit more streaky and less opaque than Think Pink.

Which of these is your favorite?

Day 7 - A Polish That I Wear Often [Miss Sporty - 360] [+ Pink Wednesday]

* * * Make sure to check out my giveaway! * * *

Make it 'used to wear often'. Since my nail polish stash got bigger and bigger I wear so many different colors. But this used to be my favorite and I even have a back up of it. This is Miss Sporty Lasting Colour: 360.

I'm horrible at describing colors, but I would say this is a warm pale pink I guess :P Especially when you compare it with Something Sweet from China Glaze.

And excuse me for the white dry fingers... When I swatched this polish it was like 3 am or something :P I removed my old polish, with a remover without acetone, and it makes my fingers so dry. Next time I'll just use the one with acetone again.

Here is a comparison with Something Sweet. See how warm 360 looks next to Something Sweet? That's why I love it! :)

Do you have any Miss Sporty polishes? These are probably my favorite when it comes to applying nail polish :)

Day 6 - A Polish I've Never Worn [Color Club - Nouveau Vintage/Snakeskin]

* * * Make sure to check out my giveaway! * * *

You may have seen this post yesterday, because I failed typing the right date :P

For this day I actually had quite a few polishes to choose from. I picked two, both from Color Club. I picked these, because of 2 reasons:
1. I wanted to have them so badly and when I had them I never even looked at it.
2. Looking at the bottle they look a lot like each other.
I can tell you that that last one is far from true when on the nails.

Here I have Nouveau Vintage for you. In the bottle this looks really green, but is completely different on the nails. It's a really sheer polish, so I'm wearing three coats. It has kind of a bronze base and has green, red, blue, yellow, green and orange micro shimmer in it. The green and red are most noticeable in real life.

See how green it looks in the bottle?

This is Snakeskin. It doesn't even come close to the color of Nouveau Vintage. In these pictures it looks kinda metallic silver, but in real life it looks like what you see in the bottle of Nouveau Vintage. This one has gold micro glitter in it which looks really pretty! In the pictures this one looks really streaky, but in real life it doesn't. I'm wearing two coats.

Just an unnecessary comparison :P

Which one do you like better? Do you have any of these polishes? Leave me a comment below :)

Thanks for reading!

Day 2 - My Least Favorite Polish [Catrice - Just Married]

* * * Make sure to check out my giveaway! * * *

I knew I had a hated polish somewhere in my stash, but which one was it? I went looking through my stash and found it! Catrice - Just Married. As much as I like the name, I don't like the polish. I remember even trying to like it just because of the name. Not working.

Here I'm wearing 2 coats of Just Married. A light pink almost peachy color with silver micro shimmers. This is actually the polish that made me think I hated polishes with shimmers in it... Damn this polish!

I knew I bought another polish a few months ago and when I came home and applied it anger just came up. Not really, but you know what I mean. It was like a déjà vu... I'm talking about Dance Like A Prima Ballerina from the Ultimate Nudes collection.

Dance Like A Prima Ballerina, Just Married, Dance Like A Prima Ballerina, Just Married
Just Married and Dance Like A Prima Ballerina are exact dupes, but DLAPB needed 3 coats and was a bit more streaky. I don't understand why they even had them both in the collection for a while. Just Married got discontinued in September, so if you like it just get Dance Like A Prima Ballerina :)

Day 1 - My Favorite Nail Polish [Catrice - London's Weather Forecast]

* * * Make sure to check out my giveaway! * * *

I was thinking; what is my favorite nail polish? Could be something pink, but I didn't want a pink one to be my favorite. After almost picking a pink polish as my favorite I remembered that another polish is my favorite! :O
Catrice - London's Weather Forecast! In October 2010 is when my nail polish addicted started and this was the first polish I picked when buying my first polishes. I've loved it ever since. And when my nail polish stash wasn't as ''big'' as it is now this was one I came back to a lot.

Since September London's Weather Forecast got discontinued and a new grey polish came into the collection; ASHley. I've heard it was similar to London's Weather Forecast.

ASHley, London's Weather Forecast, ASHley, London's Weather Forecast

No. Not the same. London's Weather Forecast is a dark grey polish with silver and a few red and blue shimmers. ASHley is a lighter creme grey polish. I like it, but I have another grey polish that I love better :P

In all pictures I'm wearing 2 coats of polish.

Well, I completed day 1 of this challenge and I am convinced I will end this challenge :P

Catrice - Let's Mauve On (Old & New version)

I tried to get this post up before midnight, my time, but it didn't work... :( The past few days have been so hectic and really hot! Summer decided to show it's face again.

Anyhow.. Since September Catrice has new nail polishes and discontinued some. But they confuse me sometimes. Same colors get a new name, but new colors get a name that already existed in the collection while they don't even look like the old one. One of them is Let's Mauve On.

The old version, shown on my index and ring finger is a light purple color going toward pink. A lovely color and nice to apply. It has a little shimmer in it. I think in these pictures I'm wearing 2 coats, but a 3rd one was needed.

The new version is completely different. The color is kind of foil or metallic looking. I don't really know the difference :P But this one was opaque in just one coat, so might be really good for stamping!

Thanks for reading :)

Jade Is Not My Name vs. I Sea You!

As you might know already Catrice came out with new nail polishes and of course I had to have those. Old polishes had to make room for the new ones and got discontinued, including I Sea You. But lucky enough I had that one already.

At work I was changing the whole Catrice display (I love to be around it ;p) my eye caught this new color that didn't look that much like I Sea You, but came close enough to be a fresher version of the color.

On the left: I Sea You!
On the right: Jade Is Not My Name
Next to each other they look pretty different. I Sea You is more green and Jade Is Not My Name is more blue. Since I kinda swatched I Sea You! once already (even though that was just one 1 one nail, but who cares? xD) I'll just swatch Jade Is Not My Name.

Ain't it pretty?! :D Now check out this last picture. Do you see a big difference? I don't. You won't even see the difference in real life at all! So bottom line: I didn't need to buy Jade Is Not My Name. However, I love the name so much it's just worth it to be in it! :P

Pointer: Jade Is Not My Name
Middle: I Sea You!
Ring: Jade Is Not My Name
Pinky: I Sea You!

Thanks for reading!

China Glaze - For Audrey + Comparison

Hello! I was planning to show this pretty color on day 5 of the challenge, but since I'm planning on buying a lot of new polishes tomorrow I figured I could just show you now! :)

I think almost everybody has this nail polish. When I ordered this one instead of the next day this came about 2/2,5 weeks later. But I knew it would come later anyway :P I wanted to have this one, because I wanted something close to Tiffany's blue. I still don't really know if this is close to it, but I do know it's a gorgeous color!
Since I own a few blue polishes that I though came close to For Audrey I decided to compare them. The result:

Nothing close to each other at all! Mint Cream is from ELF and actually the first blue/green I actually wore. I got lots of compliments on it and that made me decide I can wear blue nails :)
Am I Blue Or Green is from Catrice. It looks almost white on the picture, but compared to these two it's a very pale blue. Am I Blue Or Green is actually hard to get on your nails. I've heard more complaints about that, so it's not just me.

Since I said at the beginning of this post; I'm planning on actually get out of the house to buy new nail polishes and I know there are some gorgeous ones from Catrice and Essence, so look out for that!

For now,

xoxo Ingie

Color Club - Sex Symbol + Comparison

Today a sexy nail polish swatch of Color Club's Sex Symbol. Okay, not really sexy, but pretty sexy... :P A few days ago I swatched Color Club's Magic Attraction and this one is pretty much the same, but just silver.

Look at that bling bling... :O

Since the swatch of Magic Attraction was a bit rushed I decided I could show you again (on a nail wheel, cause I do not want that on my nails again just for swatching) :P

The first nail shows Magic Attraction, the second nail shows Sex Symbol, the third nail shows What A Drag, the fourth nail shows Sex Symbol over What A Drag and the last nail shows Magic Attraction over What A Drag.

If you don't want to layer Sex Symbol or Magic Attraction 3 or 4 times to get it opaque I recommend you to layer it over a silver polish. I actually think it looks better that way anyways.

I'm not sure, but to me Sex Symbol looks a lot like O.P.I.'s Crown Me Already, but Crown Me Already has chunkier glitters in it.

China Glaze - High Hopes

Hi hi!

Today another China Glaze swatch with comparisons. This is China Glaze's High Hopes, again from the Up & Away collection and I have to say; I can not describe this color! Don't you just have that sometimes that maybe your eyes just can't adjust to some colors?

I would describe High Hopes as a dusty pink, but in some lights it's as orange as it can be. I think it's different for everybody, because my mom thinks this is an orange color :P

I choose 3 other colors to compare it with; Miss Sporty 304 (Clubbing Colors), China Glaze - Sugar High and Miss Sporty 370 (Lasting Colour)

Ik koos 3 andere kleuren om mee te vergelijken; Miss Sporty 304 (Clubbing Colors), China Glaze - Sugar High en Miss Sporty 370 (Lasting Colour)

Catrice - Green Nail Polishes Comparisons

Hi there! :)

Today I swatch 3 green nail polishes rom Catrice; I Sea You! Sold Out Forever and Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy.

Vandaag swatch ik 3 groene nagellakken van Catrice; I Sea You! Sold Out Forever and Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy.

I would describe I Sea You as a deep sea green color. In some lights it even looks like the ocean by night! xD This was 1 of the first 'out there' nail polishes I bought when I just got into nail polish. I Sea You is opaque in 2 coats.

I Sea You is egaal na 2 laagjes.

Sold Out Forever... It actually was sold out forever :P Sold Out Forever is a light green shade with tiny golden shimmers in it. Sold Out Forever needed 3 coats to be opaque.

Sold Out Forever...

Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy is a color you really have to like. It's kind of a gross looking green I guess :P It's lighter than Sold Out Forever and I would say it has kind of a yellow undertone to it. This one needed 3 coats as well to be opaque.

All 3 polishes dries really quick, but that's something pretty much every Catrice polish does.
