Untrieds Day 3: Sinful Colors - Mercury Rising

* * * Tomorrow my giveaway ends. Make sure to check it out! * * *

AGAIN a polish I got from Nory and I can't promise tomorrow's polish won't be :P Sinful Colors is not easy to get for me, so it's a pretty big deal for me to have certain brands. Anyway, my weekend finally started :D It's almost midnight here and I'm tired after 3 days of almost 10 hour shifts!

Mercury Rising... When I first saw the color of this I didn't know if I would like it, because it was brown and I don't wear brown. Last night I put it on and I felt in love, kinda. It's a gorgeous color and I actually really like it on me :)

In real life it's brown/orange and not brown/red like you see in these pictures.

And I don't know if this is because I use Trind's Nail Repair or recently used Herôme's Nail Hardener, but this one and the polishes from Untrieds Day 1 and Untrieds Day 2 did not really chip. Usually half of my nail polish is gone after work and now all 3 polishes survived! Only a bit of tipwear, but I also blame my topcoat for that.

Day 6 - A Polish I've Never Worn [Color Club - Nouveau Vintage/Snakeskin]

* * * Make sure to check out my giveaway! * * *

You may have seen this post yesterday, because I failed typing the right date :P

For this day I actually had quite a few polishes to choose from. I picked two, both from Color Club. I picked these, because of 2 reasons:
1. I wanted to have them so badly and when I had them I never even looked at it.
2. Looking at the bottle they look a lot like each other.
I can tell you that that last one is far from true when on the nails.

Here I have Nouveau Vintage for you. In the bottle this looks really green, but is completely different on the nails. It's a really sheer polish, so I'm wearing three coats. It has kind of a bronze base and has green, red, blue, yellow, green and orange micro shimmer in it. The green and red are most noticeable in real life.

See how green it looks in the bottle?

This is Snakeskin. It doesn't even come close to the color of Nouveau Vintage. In these pictures it looks kinda metallic silver, but in real life it looks like what you see in the bottle of Nouveau Vintage. This one has gold micro glitter in it which looks really pretty! In the pictures this one looks really streaky, but in real life it doesn't. I'm wearing two coats.

Just an unnecessary comparison :P

Which one do you like better? Do you have any of these polishes? Leave me a comment below :)

Thanks for reading!

Black Magic Jewel

* * * Make sure to check out my giveaway! * * *

Today is just a really quick post. A few days ago I wore Nubar's Jewel and it started chipping on my the next day already. I was bored and instead of using striping tape I wanted to try scotch tape. The results below :)

The other colors I used were Midtown Magic from China Glaze and Black from Color Club.

Thanks for reading!

Nubar - Jewel

Today's swatch is of my first Nubar polish, Jewel. A Jewel it is!

I am going to try my best to describe this one :P Jewel is brown metallic-ish based and has a different kind of holo than others; small holo glitters with chunky pieces in it.

Here you can see it really well!

And here you can see the texture of it. To me it's kind of sandy or something. I don't think I have a polish like that (or never wore it yet) but I did like it. It's different to me.

In the pictures I wore 3 coats, but the next day I wore it all day and needed 2 coats. I went to the zoo with these nails and the only thing I used my hands for was taking pictures. After a few hours in the zoo they were already chipping off really badly! So yeah, I didn't really like that.

China Glaze - Midtown Magic

Hello! I'm back again! Not that I was gone, but a few days gone will happen probably every week now :P

Anywho, I had some time to place an order at nailpolishfashion and one of the polishes I ordered was China Glaze's Midtown Magic. It has been on my wishlist for a while and I finally got it! Side Saddle was on my wishlist too, until I figured these two are basically the same :P

Sorry for the mess on my index finger

Let me try to describe Midtown Magic... It's a really dark brown base, almost black with orange and yellow (or golden, whatever you prefer) specks in it.

It applied smoothly, while most of the time I have trouble with the China Glaze brush. 2 coats make this baby opaque and ready for starting at your nails all day long!

Midtown Magic is from China Glaze's Metro Fall Collection 2011 (finally I own a recent CG!) and you can get it for $ 2,99 at nailsupplies or like me from nailpolishfashion with 10% off with coupon code lushious or BN4U :)

Color Club - Love 'Em Leave 'Em

Another polish striped off of my wishlist! This time it's Love 'Em/Leave 'Em. I remember seeing this a while ago while going through someone's blog. I wanted to order it immediately. But my favorite web shop didn't sell this one... A few days later I was checking the shop again and it was there! I didn't order it then, because my bank account didn't let me :P But last week I ordered it and I'm so happy with it!

Love 'Em/Leave 'Em is an almost nude, but really holographic nail polish. It's a great polish for work if you're not aloud to wear really OUT THERE colors.

I can seriously not keep my eyes off of it. I like it now, but I think it might grow even more on me when the fall and winter are here.

Oh hey there, holo! :D

I recommend this polish to everybody! It's just so gorgeous... :)
