Day 5 - A Polish That Reminds Me Of A Special Day [Catrice - Apropos Apricot]

I don't have much special days in my life I guess, so I had to think again :P A few months ago I had a drink with my 2 best friends. I showed the friend that sat next to me my nail polish and mentioned the story that a few years go we went to the drugstore after college to buy bright orange nail polish, because of the World Cup. The days the Dutch team would play all 3 of us should wear the orange nail polish to college. But me and my other friend were always so insecure, we didn't wear the bright orange nail polish.

It was a special day to me, because we don't see each other that much and one of them is actually not really a friend anymore to me and the other friend. Not in a mean way, she didn't do anything to us. But it's just how life goes.

Anywho, enough with the non polish talk. This is another Catrice polish and it's named Apropos Apricot. When I applied it I noticed what an awful color it is xD I'm wearing 3 coats of this ugly one :P

Day 2 - My Least Favorite Polish [Catrice - Just Married]

I knew I had a hated polish somewhere in my stash, but which one was it? I went looking through my stash and found it! Catrice - Just Married. As much as I like the name, I don't like the polish. I remember even trying to like it just because of the name. Not working.

Here I'm wearing 2 coats of Just Married. A light pink almost peachy color with silver micro shimmers. This is actually the polish that made me think I hated polishes with shimmers in it... Damn this polish!

I knew I bought another polish a few months ago and when I came home and applied it anger just came up. Not really, but you know what I mean. It was like a déjà vu... I'm talking about Dance Like A Prima Ballerina from the Ultimate Nudes collection.

Just Married and Dance Like A Prima Ballerina are exact dupes, but DLAPB needed 3 coats and was a bit more streaky. I don't understand why they even had them both in the collection for a while. Just Married got discontinued in September, so if you like it just get Dance Like A Prima Ballerina :)

Day 1 - My Favorite Nail Polish [Catrice - London's Weather Forecast]

I was thinking; what is my favorite nail polish? Could be something pink, but I didn't want a pink one to be my favorite. After almost picking a pink polish as my favorite I remembered that another polish is my favorite! :O
Catrice - London's Weather Forecast! In October 2010 is when my nail polish addicted started and this was the first polish I picked when buying my first polishes. I've loved it ever since. And when my nail polish stash wasn't as ''big'' as it is now this was one I came back to a lot.

Since September London's Weather Forecast got discontinued and a new grey polish came into the collection; ASHley. I've heard it was similar to London's Weather Forecast.

No. Not the same. London's Weather Forecast is a dark grey polish with silver and a few red and blue shimmers. ASHley is a lighter creme grey polish. I like it, but I have another grey polish that I love better :P

In all pictures I'm wearing 2 coats of polish.

Well, I completed day 1 of this challenge and I am convinced I will end this challenge :P

30 days of nail polish! [New Challenge]

Yesterday I came across Joy's blog and saw this challenge. Since I couldn't keep up with the other challenge I thought this would be a nice and easy challenge for me :)

I don't know who created this challenge, so if you know let me know so I can credit.

Day 4 - Green Nails

I'm gonna be honest; I'm so tired today that I'm too lazy to write something. But I'm gonna try! :P

This is Catrice's Sold Out Forever. I once bought it because a lot of Dutch beauty blogs were raving about it! The reason that everybody was raving about it, is because this is a dupe of Chanels Jade! This polish got discontinued just a few days ago, but I still have it and never wore it.

I'm wearing 2 coats of the polish, but on the picture you can clearly see a third one was needed :P You can also see the shimmer that's in this polish which is a really nice shimmer. Usually I don't like shimmers, but they're definitely growing on me.

Day 3 - Yellow Nails

Day 3 of the challenge!! :) Yellow, a color I like to see on others, but wouldn't wear myself. I only have 2 yellows and this is one of them. Essence's Yellow Mellow. The color of a cute little chickie!

Just to change it up a little I wanted to try one of the polishes I bought today. This is a metallic gold from Casuelle. I'm not familiar with this brand, but the polish is okay. Opaque in 2 coats and not streaky.
This combo is a bit of a fail though :P Those colors just do not match!

Day 2 - Orange Nails

Day 2 of the challenge. Orange nails. I have 2 polishes that really are orange. I tried to take pictures of 1, but my camera didn't seem to catch the color. It would turn out pink. So I tried another polish; same problem.
On my laptop they were more orange, but still... So I have 2 orange nail polishes to show for today :)

This is Essence Just Shout! I remember I actually started a nail blog in I believe February and this polish was one of the few swatches I did.

This is Catrice's I Scream Peach! and is more orange than peach to me. All I have to say about orange polishes is that they're not really what I would wear, but only on Queensday or when the Netherlands is going for the World Cup :P

Day 1 - Red Nails

A few days ago the lovely Rebecca started with the challenge. I don't know who started it, but apparently this challenge has been around for a while. Some days I just live in Bikini Bottom and have no idea what's going on on the internet :P Today I read on Laura's blog it's a challenge for the month of September, so I figured I would finally start it xD I don't know yet if I'm gonna finish it, but I'll try my best!

My fingers look extremely white... :P

Todays nails; Red. This pretty red is from Catrice and listens to the name Bloody Mary To Go. This is actually the only red nail polish I own! When my nail polish addiction started (October 2010) Catrice and Essence were the only brands I knew. I went on the hunt for a red polish and found this one. I'm still looking for the perfect red and I think Essie's Aperitif comes close to it.
