Wham! Pow! Warhol is Almost Famous!

* * * Make sure to check out my birthday giveaway here * * *

Well, hello there!

Now that my nail polishes are finally hanging on the wall, it's a little easier to find polishes I want to use for a little nail art.

The title pretty much gives away what polishes I used for this. I started with a white base color from Catrice, Snow Motion. I only wanted neon pink tips, so used Color Club's Warhol for that. I decided I'd like some orange with it and used Wham! Pow! for that. I wanted to see if you could stamp with Almost Famous and I find that it worked. It didn't really keep it's own color, but it does fit nice if you ask me :P I used image plate m65 for the stamp.

Of course the topcoat made it all streak again, while I waited for a really long time to apply it. I used O.P.I. topcoat that the sweet Nory got me :)

I think I might have found the setting on my camera where it shows a bit more color, perfect for neons. This isn't really color accurate, but it's way better than the washed out colors.

Punk Princess Nails

* * * Make sure to check out my birthday giveaway here * * *

I've always wanted to show/wear Essence's Time For Romance, but couldn't really find a base color for it. I thought to myself; I need a pinkish, purple polish, do I have that? Because I like to answer my own question, I answered 'no', until my eye fell on an ELF polish.

As my base color I'm wearing ELF's Punk Purple. On top of that I applied 2 coats of Time For Romance. For the stamp I used Konad image plate m79.

I also wanted to show you that Time For Romance seems to have a little bit of a holographic glitter in which you can even see in real life. So another plus for that. This polish is cute and it knows it! :P

Do you have Time For Romance and on what color/polish would you layer it on?

Dots & Bows

* * * Make sure to check out my birthday giveaway here * * *

Obviously I haven't been posting frequently anymore. Working all day makes me feel so blegh in a way that I just don't do anything with my nails. I walk around with the same nail polish for 3 days :P But a change is coming. Today I decided to put my nails on an at least 2 week 'diet'. I filed them down, got rid of the ugly cuticles, took care of my cuticles and nails and put a nail hardener on. There are still 6 nails that have a break too far down to clip them off, so maybe I have to extend my nail diet.

But in the past week and today I did do some things with my nails which will be good for at least 1 post everyday this week :) So some days my nails may be shorter or longer.

I lost my Konad scraper for a few weeks and did not want to buy a new scraper, knowing that when I get the new scraper I will find my old one. Finally I bought 2 new scrapers and there my old scraper came out saying 'Peek-a-boo!' But I have 3 scrapers now and I can finally use my image plates again.

For this manicure I painted my nails in a lovely pink called Folly from Sinful Colors that I got from Iris. I used image plate m79 for the dots and image plate m59 for the bows. This manicure failed every single time I tried it, so this is the best I could make out of it :P

Pink Stripes [100th post!]

95 days, 99 posts, ±230 comments and 245 followers later I present to you... my 100th post!

It was easier to get to 100 posts than I expected and those days fly by! When I hit 25 followers I was so happy! To thank everybody I had a giveaway, not thinking so many people would start following me!

I wanted this post to be more than just a simple swatch for the Untrieds month, so here I have something I did with the color I wore today. You will find out what color pink this is later tonight in my Untrieds post.

I don't have anything on my middle finger because the nail broke a few days ago and it would look weird next to the others :P But it's nice as an accent nail. My thumb is just pink too :)

I'm going for the next 100 posts! Keep me motivated with comments, because I love comments! :)

Anyone else watching the EMA's right now? It's still the red carpet show, but when the main show comes on I'll be switching back and forth between the EMA's and another show :P

Galaxy Nails!

You may have seen this mani on Vampy Varnish (thank you so much!) but now I'm showing you here. I was so excited about these, I just couldn't wait to post them here!

The first time I tried galaxy nails was August 19th to be exact :P I did these October 11th and I think I improved if I may say so.

Of course a matte look again. I love everything matte with my Gosh matte topcoat :P

I love how you can still see the glitters when it's matte.

Here's a list of the polishes I used:
- Essence Multi Dimension - Midnight Rocker
- Miss Sporty Lasting Color - nr. 30
- Etos Effect Nails - nr. 09
- China Glaze - Ahoy!
- Catrice - Blues Brother Vol. II
- Catrice - Forget Me Not
- Catrice - Lucky In Lilac
- China Glaze - Fairy Dust

I actually have no idea why I am holding a bottle of China Glaze (I think it's it Crimson)

Do you like these galaxy nails, or even in general? And have you ever tried them? Let me know! :)

Swimsuit... Cracked It!

This was something I wanted to try for a pretty long time! Another polish going diagonal over my manicure. I finally did! :P

After wearing O.P.I.'s Swimsuit... Nailed It! for almost 2 days I had some tipwear, so decided I could give it a try :)

I put striping type diagonal over my nails. Then I painted the top part black. Over that I put Carnival Lights from China Glaze and over that I put Essence Crack Me! Silver. I took the striping tape off and then I applied new pieces of striping tape under the diagonal part.

Have you ever done something with striping tape? Let me know! :)

Pink Wednesday: Not So Pink

Today some little bit of nail art again. It's really easy, but I kinda failed a bit as usual.

I painted my middle finger black and put striping tape in the middle of my nail. I put 2 more pieces on the left and 2 more on the right. Then I applied some pink and purples. To stay in these colors I randomly painted my other finger nails in the colors I used on my middle finger.

For this nail art I was inspired by the wall in front of me :P

Cupcake nails + How To

* * * Make sure to check out my giveaway! * * *

It's not my birthday yet, that's in 2 months, but I did want to try cupcake nails. I've been wanting to try these since forever! Yesterday I ordered some dotting tools at dashicabeautyshop.nl and I got them today, so decided to give it a try!

Usually when I see cupcake nail art I see no base color. I didn't want that so I painted my nails black with a red and green glitter in it. This is Catrice - I Wear My Sunglasses At Night. The pink tips are Gosh - Neon Baby and the purple tip is Catrice - Lucky In Lilac.

It's up to you what colors you want to use for it of course :)

Let the tips dry and add some stripes to the tip color. I used China Glaze - Something Sweet on the pink tips and used Neon Baby again for the purple tip.

For the icing I didn't want to use just a plain white so I went for Color Club - Coastal Creme which I thought was perfect for it!

I had no idea what to use for the sprinkles so I almost applied some glitter over it until I decided to see if my dotting tool could grab the big glitters from Essence - Time For Romance. It worked! So I used those for the sprinkles.

That's it! It was so easy! I actually thought it was going to be really hard to do, but it wasn't.

Oh, I like comments, so please leave something :)

Pink Wednesday: Pink Ribbon Inspired

* * * Make sure to check out my giveaway! * * *

This is my first Pink Wednesday and I love the idea of it. I love Mean Girls! xD

I wore this mani yesterday, later on the day because for some reason I thought it was Wednesday. I went to go get something from Pink Ribbon and found this bracelet. I don't like it as much as last years, but it is a great inspiration for something on my nails.
I also bought a nail polish from Etos (local drugstore) and it's also for Pink Ribbon. When I came home I painted my nails with this color and went to look for my water decals.
This is what I made:

I failed at placing them in the middle and they were a bit too short, but whatever. It's still nice! :)

Hello Kitty with dots

I have no idea how to name this nail art :P

In my everyday life with nail polish I hardly try to do nail art, but I do wanna try and show it on my blog. That way I feel like a less boring blog with just my swatches :P

I was inspired by this picture :) I first tried this a few times with Sugar High as my base color, but it would get messy every single time! So I used Ahoy! from China Glaze as my base color and the pink dots, the white is Snow Motion from Catrice and the black is Black from Color Club.

The picture above shows an almost perfect pinky finger, but that's just fake :P I edited it a little in Photoshop. The picture below is what is really looked like. I did wait for like 30 minutes, if not longer, to apply my topcoat.

I love the kitty! She looks like she's cold and that's so cute for some reason! xD

Thanks for reading again :)

Gradient Nails - Pink to Black

A new month, so time for me to do new things. My nail polish collection grew a lot in September, which I will show later today or tomorrow :)

But today I wanted to show you some gradient nails. I love gradient nails! It's easy and everybody can do it!

As my base color I used China Glaze's Ahoy! followed by China Glaze - City Siren, China Glaze - Urban-Night, China Glaze - Crimson and last but not least Color Club - Black.

Sometimes things just look better when they're blurred :P

So since Halloween is coming up, not really celebrated in my country, I decided to stamp skulls on my nails. I love the one with the little bow :P But the one with the crown looks nice too xD

And this last picture is some horror... I never really mind my nails breaking, but I do hate when it happens so far in, because I have to walk around for nails with that and I get stuck on everything!

Thanks for reading again!

Galaxy Nails Fail!

NOTE: these picture were made exactly one month ago!

Okay, ever since I saw galaxy nail art stuff on Tumblr I always wanted to do it myself too. One day last month I decided to do it for the first time and failed big time! :P

See the horror below!

Speaking of horror; tomorrow a photographer is coming to my work to make picture of me and my colleague, because we got robbed (I don't know the right word) at work a few months ago. We got interviewed last week, so I'm nervous! I never go on pictures and I always look like a mess! I can't even smile normal xD OMG, help me! :P

Day 9 - Rainbow Nails

My days fly by! :P Skipping day 6, go to day 7, skipping day 8 and go to day 9 in one day! I don't even know if that is a right sentence, but whatever xD I'm excited about this one!

Rainbow nails! This color combination is something that I've used since kindergarten. Well, it actually started when we had to make a stupid decoration that we could connect easily and to make it all nice and neat we had to do red, yellow, green and blue. I changed that later into pink, orange, yellow, green and blue.

I should've made pictures from the beginning, so you could see what it looked like, but I think you get the idea. I just did it really simple; paint my nails pink and from there painting another color higher on my nail. The next day, yes THE NEXT, I applied 5 thin strips of striping tape all over every nail and painted it black. That was more of a drama than I expected it to be.... :P

Later I pulled the tape off and it wasn't really that nice looking, but nice enough that people around me wouldn't see the mess I made xD
At night my nails actually started to look dull, even though I applied a top coat. But my top coat is halfway in the bottle so it's hard to get out of it, so that actually ruins my manicures easily too.

And these three pictures are just for the like :P I like the first 2 of these 3 :)

Tigger Inspired Nails

Hello!

Today a great fail! :P My room is a mess, always have been and always will be. I clean it sometimes and I promise myself to keep it that way, but 2 days later it's a mess again. Now I saw Tigger laying on the floor and it has been there for a long time and I was like; You are easy to create on my nails! Well, if you don't have the right tools, it's never easy and you will see xD

Okay, maybe it's not that great to see... But that doesn't matter. It looks ugly anyway :P Instead of Tiggers face it looks like an angry monkey who got a banana smashed in it's face or something. The other nails were simple and actually kinda cute. Just an orange nail polish and Konad image plate M57.

There would've been more pictures if I didn't erase them by accident, although I doubt there was even one I could use xD

Er zouden meer foto's zijn als ik ze niet per ongeluk had gewist, maar ik betwijfel of er ook maar 1 bruikbare bij zat xD

xoxo Ingie
