A Romantic Manicure

* * * Make sure to check out my birthday giveaway here * * *

Today I have a really simple, cute and (in my opinion) romantic manicure. It's pretty wearable with the pink flowers and I actually got compliments on it. Happy! :D I love it when people randomly tell me they like my nails :P

This was really simple, although it took me a few times to get it right. The white polish just wouldn't dry enough so I was able to stamp over it and the China Glaze Quick Fast Freeze Spray (or whatever it's called) would make the stamper slip off my nails...

For my base color I used Snow Motion from Catrice and for the flowers I used Catrice's newer version of Let's Mauve On. The image plate is Konad m65.

Wham! Pow! Warhol is Almost Famous!

* * * Make sure to check out my birthday giveaway here * * *

Well, hello there!

Now that my nail polishes are finally hanging on the wall, it's a little easier to find polishes I want to use for a little nail art.

The title pretty much gives away what polishes I used for this. I started with a white base color from Catrice, Snow Motion. I only wanted neon pink tips, so used Color Club's Warhol for that. I decided I'd like some orange with it and used Wham! Pow! for that. I wanted to see if you could stamp with Almost Famous and I find that it worked. It didn't really keep it's own color, but it does fit nice if you ask me :P I used image plate m65 for the stamp.

Of course the topcoat made it all streak again, while I waited for a really long time to apply it. I used O.P.I. topcoat that the sweet Nory got me :)

I think I might have found the setting on my camera where it shows a bit more color, perfect for neons. This isn't really color accurate, but it's way better than the washed out colors.

Punk Princess Nails

* * * Make sure to check out my birthday giveaway here * * *

I've always wanted to show/wear Essence's Time For Romance, but couldn't really find a base color for it. I thought to myself; I need a pinkish, purple polish, do I have that? Because I like to answer my own question, I answered 'no', until my eye fell on an ELF polish.

As my base color I'm wearing ELF's Punk Purple. On top of that I applied 2 coats of Time For Romance. For the stamp I used Konad image plate m79.

I also wanted to show you that Time For Romance seems to have a little bit of a holographic glitter in which you can even see in real life. So another plus for that. This polish is cute and it knows it! :P

Do you have Time For Romance and on what color/polish would you layer it on?

Dots & Bows

* * * Make sure to check out my birthday giveaway here * * *

Obviously I haven't been posting frequently anymore. Working all day makes me feel so blegh in a way that I just don't do anything with my nails. I walk around with the same nail polish for 3 days :P But a change is coming. Today I decided to put my nails on an at least 2 week 'diet'. I filed them down, got rid of the ugly cuticles, took care of my cuticles and nails and put a nail hardener on. There are still 6 nails that have a break too far down to clip them off, so maybe I have to extend my nail diet.

But in the past week and today I did do some things with my nails which will be good for at least 1 post everyday this week :) So some days my nails may be shorter or longer.

I lost my Konad scraper for a few weeks and did not want to buy a new scraper, knowing that when I get the new scraper I will find my old one. Finally I bought 2 new scrapers and there my old scraper came out saying 'Peek-a-boo!' But I have 3 scrapers now and I can finally use my image plates again.

For this manicure I painted my nails in a lovely pink called Folly from Sinful Colors that I got from Iris. I used image plate m79 for the dots and image plate m59 for the bows. This manicure failed every single time I tried it, so this is the best I could make out of it :P

Day 9 - A Polish That Is Vampy [China Glaze - City Siren]

* * * Make sure to check out my giveaway! * * *

[EDIT: I just found out that my post from Day 8 never posted, while I did schedule it... So I'll post Day 8 tomorrow and Day 10 the day after]

This post is a little later than usual, only like 9 hours, but it's still Friday so I'm on time :) A color that I think is vampy is City Siren from China Glaze. Why? Just because... :P

City Siren is from the Metro Fall collection. You may have noticed that I've used this color a few times before here, here and here.

If you've been following me for a longer time you may remember the matte plus shiny stamping from my Black On Black Nails post.

I'm thinking about doing a comparison between some matte topcoats, because this one is completely different than the Gosh matte topcoat. This one is from Etos :)

What do you think of matte nails with a shiny stamp?

Zombie Fishnet Stockings

* * * Make sure to check out my giveaway! * * *

I couldn't think of a nice name for this :P I thought this would be nice, since I wanted it to be something for Halloween again.

I started with China Glaze High Hopes as my base color. This color is not 100% accurate in any of these pictures, because my camera can't capture it. At the end I'll show you what it actually looked like.

I used Konad image plate m57 again for the fishnet print and again I used Color Club Black for the stamping.

I sponged on the same black color starting from the cuticles up. In real life this actually looked kinda cool, so you could leave it like that if you're going out on Halloween. But if that will do any good to your cuticles and/or nails...

I cleaned up and added a topcoat and I was finished!

And since everything looks nicer when blurred;

And here is how much I had to edit my pics to make High Hopes look a little more like it looks in real life.

EDIT: For this I actually was inspired again on Tumblr. I just found the picture again! Click here! :)

White Tiger Nails

Make sure to check out my giveaway!

So last Monday I went to the zoo. When we were in one of those souvenir shops I saw I small white tiger statue. I didn't buy it, but I did want it on my nails.

I painted my nails in nr. 30 from Miss Sporty. A sheer white. I didn't want to use a harsh white and finally found a use for this one. I got out Konad M57 and stamped the tiger print on my nails. That's where I realized you could also see this as zebra nails...

I decided to put China Glaze's Fairy Dust over top of it, just to try it out :P Fairy Dust looks pretty, but I don't really like it in combination with these nails xD

Love Nails

Hey! I just wanted to see the stamping quality of some polishes so I can make a list of what polishes are good for stamping. I kinda liked the way this turned out, so I decided to show you here.

The black one is Black from Color Club. It does a great job at stamping! For painting my nails I only needed one coat.

The mauve metallic one is Let's Mauve On (new version) from Catrice. Yesterday I showed you the swatch and I said it might be great for stamping. It is!

The pink one is Heli-Yum from China Glaze. I needed one coat on my nail and it stamps great on Let's Mauve On, but is hardly visible on the black. So I don't know yet if I'll add it to my list.

Day 7 - Black & White Nails

Yes, I skipped day 6 :P I'll just go straight to day 7, black & white nails!

An accent nail! I like... But not when it's black and white, because the contrast is so big! Since I found this a little bit too boring I decided to use my newest Konad image plate, the m60 :)

That's a little better! I think I would wear this out when I painted all my nails black and stamp with a white polish on that ring finger.

Since I didn't had the chance to show you the Golden Rose Scale Effect #9 polish I thought this would be the time. I tried it a few times on a pink nail polish, but it was hard to capture with my camera. On black it just looks amazing! I can't wait to buy more of these!

And another angle... In the first picture with this nice flakie you see more like orange, red and green. In this second one you see more yellow. I love it!

Tigger Inspired Nails

Hello!

Today a great fail! :P My room is a mess, always have been and always will be. I clean it sometimes and I promise myself to keep it that way, but 2 days later it's a mess again. Now I saw Tigger laying on the floor and it has been there for a long time and I was like; You are easy to create on my nails! Well, if you don't have the right tools, it's never easy and you will see xD

Okay, maybe it's not that great to see... But that doesn't matter. It looks ugly anyway :P Instead of Tiggers face it looks like an angry monkey who got a banana smashed in it's face or something. The other nails were simple and actually kinda cute. Just an orange nail polish and Konad image plate M57.

There would've been more pictures if I didn't erase them by accident, although I doubt there was even one I could use xD

Black On Black nails

Hey you!

Today just a picture of my nails with a little bit of Konad (plate m57)! I just painted my nails black and applied a matte topcoat over that. Then I went with the black nailpolish over the image that I wanted and stamped it on my nails. I love it so much! You could do it with another color too of course, but I think with just black it looks the nicest. I can't wait until it's the time of the year where I like to wear darker colors on my nails :)

Gay Pride nails with Konad!

Hello there again!

Today I was supposed to go to the annual Gay Pride in Amsterdam with a friend. It would be my first time and I was super excited about that! We're not gay, but it would still be awesome to be there :P 15 minutes before I would leave to meet my friend at the train station, she texted she couldn't go. She's had a few panic attacks since last year and since I've suffered from that, I could understand. So instead we still hung out and just got a drink on a sunny day here in the Netherlands :)

I did my nails last night and didn't really know what colors to use. I was thinking about painting each finger pink, orange, yellow, green and blue (my favorite color combination ever!) and use silver to stamp OR paint my nails silver and stamp with Konad in that combination.

The end result;

Pink with silver! I painted my nails 2 coats of Heli-Yum, also from the Up & Away collection and I used What A Drag (how ironic) from Color Club to stamp. I used image plate M57 for this.

Roze met zilver! Ik lakte mijn nagels met 2 laagjes Heli-Yum, ook van de Up & Away collectie en ik gebruikte What A Drag (hoe ironisch) van Color Club om te stempelen.

Heli-Yum is a really deep shade of pink, which looks most of the time red to me. On the picture it does look pink, because I edited it to the color I see when I look at the bottle, cause then I do see a deep pink color :P

What A Drag is a nice silver and glittery color. When you would wear it on it's own you would need like 2 or maybe 3 coats. I did use it to stamp with and I think it did a great job!

What A Drag is een mooie zilveren en glitterige kleur.

Have a nice weekend! :)
