Cupcake nails + How To

* * * Make sure to check out my giveaway! * * *

It's not my birthday yet, that's in 2 months, but I did want to try cupcake nails. I've been wanting to try these since forever! Yesterday I ordered some dotting tools at dashicabeautyshop.nl and I got them today, so decided to give it a try!

Usually when I see cupcake nail art I see no base color. I didn't want that so I painted my nails black with a red and green glitter in it. This is Catrice - I Wear My Sunglasses At Night. The pink tips are Gosh - Neon Baby and the purple tip is Catrice - Lucky In Lilac.

It's up to you what colors you want to use for it of course :)

Let the tips dry and add some stripes to the tip color. I used China Glaze - Something Sweet on the pink tips and used Neon Baby again for the purple tip.

For the icing I didn't want to use just a plain white so I went for Color Club - Coastal Creme which I thought was perfect for it!

I had no idea what to use for the sprinkles so I almost applied some glitter over it until I decided to see if my dotting tool could grab the big glitters from Essence - Time For Romance. It worked! So I used those for the sprinkles.

That's it! It was so easy! I actually thought it was going to be really hard to do, but it wasn't.

Oh, I like comments, so please leave something :)

Halloween Nails - Bloody Fingerprint

Hello! :)

Today I'll show you a simple nail art which I've been trying once before. Since Halloween is coming up I decided it would be cool to give you an idea if you're going out on Halloween :)

These first two pictures were done a few days ago. I didn't like it that much, because I tried so many times and failed all the time! It was getting frustrating, but now seeing the pictures again, I don't hate it that much :P

I used a white base, because that way you're able to see the red. On black it would not even be noticeable. For the red color I used City Siren from China Glaze, a nice bloody looking color. I got it a few days ago, but I used a lot of it the past few days :P

This last picture was done today. Actually an hour ago :P I just wanted to try it one more time! It's still not really how I wanted it to be, but still it's kinda cool. I especially like the one on my ring finger.

How to create this:
- Paint your nails in a base color, preferably white.
- Put some red nail polish on a piece of paper and dip your finger in it.
- Lightly dab some access off on the paper and then lightly dab it on your nail

Just practice a few times on paper :)

Thanks for reading again!

How To: Paint Splatter Nails!

Hi hi!

This time another first try! Paint splatter nails! I remembered seeing pictures of paint splatter nails and I just thought; Why not give it a try? I painted my nails with a black nail polish. Next I let a little dropped a bit of color fall onto my nail and with a dotting tool I dragged it away, I would say :P For the pink color I used Heli-Yum from China Glaze, for the green one I used Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy from Catrice and for the yellow one I used Yellow Mellow from Essence.

When I saw this result I wasn't very satisfied... It needed a bit of sparkle. I knew I had a purple Essence effect topper I never used before, so I thought I could use that. Not that I like the combination so much, but just so I could show you too :P

And I made some blurry pictures too to really show the sparkle!

Doesn't that look nice? If I would do this again I would use another kind of glitter polish depending on what colors I used for the splatter.
Here's a picture of the polishes I used.

How To: Striped Mani

Hey you!

Today I'm gonna show you a striped mani, but just on 1 nail. I like accent nails so on 1 hand it's my ring finger and on my other hand my index finger.

Above picture shows you the result. As the title says it was my first try and to be honest; It's not that bad! :P

Three days ago I painted my nails in the well known color For Audrey from China Glaze. My mom doesn't know anything about nail polish or the names or whatever, but she loves this color! xD

I think this polish was opaque in 2 layers, but it could also be 3 layers. Anywho, today I thought I could try this striped mani over this color anyways since it wasn't that chipped. Which is weird, because I did work all day Wednesday and only my index finger had some obvious chips.
I got my striping tape out and applied that on my nail.

A nice combination would be blue and grey, maybe because of the rainy weather, so I got my favorite AND first bought nail polish and applied that. I used 2 coats of Catrice's  London's Weather Forecast.

After about 10-15 minutes I slowly pulled off the tape. I did apply a fast drying topcoat after I applied the tape. I was kinda scared to take it off, but the result wasn't that bad. Just a little damage at the top of the nail, which you can't really see on the picture :P

I hope you liked to see this and thanks for reading!
